Oliver Twist : THE PARISH BOY'S PROGRESS

Oliver Twist, or The Parish Boy's Progress, is the second novel by Charles Dickens. It was first published as a serialized illustrated story from 1837 to 1839.
The story centers around the orphaned boy Oliver Twist, who was born in a workhouse and then sold to work as an apprentice for an undertaker. After escaping, Oliver travels to London, where he meets the Artful Dodger, a member of a gang of young pickpockets led by the elderly criminal Fagin.
